SAT FEB 4: Pancakes do Karaoke Cantopop?

Saturday, Feb 4
This looks kind of interesting (or at least unlike anything i've seen in HK before)-- mash-ups of 80s Cantopop at some new "cafe/fashion store"? Dejay Choi of the Pancakes will be DJ-ing/singing?

See their website for the snazzy music.

Replay & Rewind at LOLL
The "Replay and Rewind" series spins new interpretations of classics from the 80s and 90s. The first show pays tribute to the year 1981, with Salty Soggy Sour (formerly Pancake) and Swamp Dog playing Alan Tam and other Cantopop hits at new, funky chic café/fashion store LOLL. An intimate show for Cantopop and experimental music lovers alike. Feb 4, 10pm. Tickets $100, LOLL 2396-2608/the PANIC 2598-6218. 1/F, Junction of Cannon and Lockhart roads, Causeway Bay

SUPERPLEX is back!

After some hibernation over the winter holidays and Lunar New Year, Superplex is back with a bark in the Year of the Dog! This coming week: a meeting at CUHK to discuss future activities of Superplex and ways that students and other participants can get involved, followed by a screening of an as-yet undetermined movie (but it will be good!).

Rejoin the magic:
Thursday February 9, 7:30-9:30, NAH 115 in New Asia College (call 9579 9980 if you need better directions).
